The past few days have passed with no words here. Monday, we went to Devil's Lake--Frank, Matt, Alycia, and I. We were rained on quite a bit and we had to walk through knee-deep puddles. We could see the thunderstorm loom on the horizon. It broke the second we got in the car to leave.
Last night was Alycia's 21st birthday, but since she doesn't drink and more or less hates hipsters, we didn't go to the bars. Not even the 'dise where they have drinks so cheap it's stuffed on a tuesday night. We did, however, watch The Other Sister. It was on the cusp of camp, but also one of the best romantic comedies. We also made a tasty meal with ice cream cake for dessert.
Before that I spent the day working with Little Katie at her daycare. It was disheartening, because most of the kids were extremely rude to her--I'm think that they should have constant therapy for them...teach them social skills.
So today, we have planned the Girlfriends' Show today on WSUM because both Frank and Jake are unavailable for their show this afternoon (due to work and being in South Africa, respectively). So Alycia and I will join Matt on the air. This will be mad fun. Me with my Daniel Johnston and Alycia with her Billy Idol. I have a feeling Matt will be less than enthused.
Two more note: It is one day until President Bush withdraws from the ABM treaty, which means we can build a useless and frightening Missile Defense shield and become a First Strike nation against "terrorists" (this is bullshit, bombing large groups of people because we think some of the people in that area might do a terrorist attack?!?! Explain the logic of this to me again, especially since Al-Qiada's forces are spread through out the world. Stupid fucks!). Also, it is 28 days until I board my flight to London. Chicago to Newark to Heathrow, baby.
