The heavy, hot air has lifted. A giant sense of relief has taken over my body. This week has felt like some really long, hardcore aerobics class. Now that it's over, I'm both exhausted and excited about my ass-kicking abilities.
This weekend should be fun.
Tomorrow we will be playing the Backyard Bash, I am guessing we will play at 6 or 7, but I'm not sure. I told my little sister about the rocking prospects, and she said something like, it's funny that you guys are playing, because its really not an emo show. Because we are a Get Up Kids cover band and all. I guess I see how she'd come to that conclusion, though given that:
Anyway, I am expecting to be well-recieved given that tommorrow is 4/20, and people will probably be too stoned to be overly critical of us. Plus, you know, we kick so much ass.
On Sunday, D-4 is playing Union South (for free), and I am expecting to do my share of rocking there.
Furthermore, I actually have time to do my assigned readings, and they seem pretty interesting. We are reading The Book of Daniel by E.L. Doctorow in one class, and Dreams of Trespass by Fatima Mernissi in another. Both are pretty relevant to the things I have been thinking about lately.
Hopefully, this weekend lives up to my expectations.
