Today is 5.7.02, the time is 7:41 a.m.

There is a serious problem with my brain. My executive functioning seems intact, in fact my planning skills are exemplary. But my motivation is so very low.

Writing a paper about the book Lakota Woman has been more difficult than it should have been, namely because the paper topic is really broad, and the issues (namely gender within interacting race systems) are complex. I spent forever trying to organize it into manageable pieces. grr...

So why is NBC 15 broadcasting this message over and over again? College seniors are graduating into a difficult ecomomy, will they find jobs? The answer is not hopeful. This pisses me off for several reasons:

• We're in the midst of a hell week of writing papers and studying for exams. This is enough stress, thanks.
• So why not stories about the people looking for jobs without a college education or a high school diploma for that matter. I imagine this is far more interesting and newsworthy.
• It implies people only go to college to find better jobs. Sure, this is a part of it, but I would like to think that it is also to helo understand your world and be useful within it.
• Graduation should be celebrated. This is dampening the pride in a notable accomplishment.

So why am I so adept at writing rants, but writing papers takes me forever?
