I love you Robert Fisk.
Does anyone else think its funny that Ariel Sharon is struggling to unseat Arafat by calling him a "terrorist"? Even if Arafat does sponsor terrorism, Sharon has been found culpable for a massive war crime against Lebanon (and now possibly another war crime in Jenin). I don't think a war criminal is in any position to do a character assasination, especially when innocent people, both Israeli and Palestinian, are dying at the hands of both leaders.
I am in the midst of writing a paper about Gary Snyder's poetry in light of his essay Buddhism and the Coming Revolution. It occurs to me that I get the point of Buddhism, but am ignorant of the role of the senses in the path to insight into the void/self. This weakens my argument immensely. Is it trust of the senses that lead to enlightenment or withdrawal from them? I think I'll trust that it is withdrawal.
Either way, my senses are currently a little untrustworthy right now...sleep deprivation and cognitive distortion go hand in hand.
On a positive note, I am only 1.25 papers and three exams away from graduation.
On another positive note, following those obligations, I will have the time to make the ultimate geek dance party tape. And Frank and I will dance together all night.
